Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings has acquired 90% of the shares of the British B2C2 cryptocurrency trading firm. Upon acquisition, B2C2 will become a subsidiary.
SBI Holdings expects B2C2 to create new services for financial companies and institutional players
looking to invest in cryptocurrency.
"Digital currencies will increasingly affect the monetary market over the next decade and that we are glad
to be at the cutting edge of this development with SBI," said Max Bunen, B2C2 founder and CEO.
B2C2 was founded in 2015 and is currently one of the most popular cryptocurrency trading companies in the world for institutional investors. The company has offices in the USA, Japan, and the UK.
